Feeling Sucked In?

Empathic people, such as myself, feel the energy of situations around us unless we have the faith and skills to rely on supporting the belief that all is well. This isn’t just a glib response but the most loving. Realizing that their guide, family animal, or God force will care for those in need.

If you feel sucked in to what someone else feels becoming emotionally involved you need to be careful and use skills to let them have their own meltdown. If you are crying and carrying on like their problem is your problem, you might get lost, anxious, or confused which isn not healthy or helpful.

Energy that isn’t balanced is explosive often fueled by fear. This is the lowest place on the emotional scale. One of you needs to be emotionally detached so that you can help using a rational mind and supportive vibration.

Try to develop your skill of observation and compassion and emotionally reserved.

This is a practice I have called “healthy detachment for preservation of self.” I have found this very helpful for family riffs and uncomfortable family dinners and also witnessing the obuses of one individual to another. If you simply look at the energy or emotion like a movie, or a parade you can still be in your center, and not take it on. See yourself sitting in the bleachers and watch the “parade” go by. Just observe and note the floats sailing by. I have found this to be a simple and helpful practice. I believe in getting involved at some point if it seems like I can make a difference. I have chosen animal communication to do so. Acknowledging the problem from a balanced place allows us time to formulate a plan to help those through necessary change.
